From 06 March 2013 to 30 June 2013
Lower Belvedere – Orangery The focus of the exhibition is on the influence of Japanese art and Far Eastern philosophy in Hundertwasser’s Early Work. In the 1950s, the Far East was considered a new sphere of reference for an open-minded approach to art. The meeting point of the young Japanese avant-garde was Paris, where Hundertwasser participated in the mutual exchange between Western and Far Eastern vanguards. |
